In loss, adversity or trauma, we feel engulfed in a horde of feelings, not all of which we are able to articulate, outwardly express or share with others. If unexpressed for long, such difficult inner experiences can create psychological or medical issues. Dr James Pennebaker, the originator of expressive writing, has established through his pioneering research the immense therapeutic value of writing.

“Poetry Therapy & Expressive Writing” facilitate self-therapy and deep growth. They offer and create a safe, therapeutic & transformative space to own, express & heal our painful experience, and discover deeper meaning & higher purpose of our pain. Many in grief & trauma naturally take to poetry. It gifts courage and eloquence to our unconscious voice, and helps express our inner turmoil as well as dreams.

In my ‘Grief & Growth’ counselling, coaching, expert companioning, and workshop facilitation, I extensively use ‘Poetry Therapy’ ; ‘Therapeutic & Expressive Writing’ and also ‘Expressive Arts’. In organizational context, I coach & facilitate immersive workshops for writing as a pathway to deep growth & transformation.
